GG’s “never fail” chocolate brownies
- 350g (12oz) dark cooking chocolate

3/4 cup plain flour

1 cup icing sugar
-
125 grams (or 4oz) almond meal or hazelnut meal

180g (6oz) butter
-
6 eggwhites
-
Thick cream (optional, for serving only
Method:

Preheat oven to 160 degrees Celcius (320F). Grease and line with baking paper a 30cm x 19cm (12 x 7 1/2 inch) ti

Melt chocolate and butter together.

Add in flour, icing sugar, almond meal and egg whites and mix until combined.

Pour mixture into tin and bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until cooked.

Cool on wire rack, cut into squares.

You may like to dust with icing sugar and/or serve with thick cream.
